Positioned along the pristine coastline of Omaha Beach, New Zealand, this coastal holiday home was reimagined as a refined sanctuary, blending relaxed beachside living with understated luxury interior design. The brief centred on creating private guest suites, each conceived as a personal retreat.

Working alongside Sumich Chaplin Architects and House of Hanna, the design embraced refined proportions and artisanal materials.

The bathrooms, including a steam room, are a central feature of this renovation. We sourced light, creamy travertine stone in multiple textured finishes. We exposed curved surfaces that enhance spatial flow. We designed custom furniture in the light-dappled bedrooms with hand-applied waxed clay plaster, adding to the depth and artisan tactility.

The primary bedroom suite, dual dressing areas flow into a tranquil bathroom, where sculptural stonework and concealed wet zones ensure elegance and privacy. The guest suites feature a seamless double-entry ensuite bathroom, evoking the quiet comfort of a luxury resort.

Lighting, including hand-blown glass fixtures, sets a calm, crafted atmosphere and reinforces the home's commitment to material detail.

From bespoke cabinetry to curated finishes, every element of this interior was designed to express refinement, warmth, and effortless cohesion — a true reflection of coastal luxury living.
